Der 1991 in Taiwan geborene Pianist, Chia‐Lun Hsu,gilt als einer der großen Hoffnungsträger der neuen taiwanesischen Pianisten Generation. Die Kritik bezeichnete ihn als „The most talented young pianist in Taiwan“ und lobt ihn für seine werkgetreuen und reinen Interpretationen. Bekannt für seine makellose Technik, seinen sehr natürlichen und tiefgründigen Anschlag, werden seine Konzerte zu einem sehr persönlichen Erlebnis. Er verfügt über eine breitgefächerte Diskografie und ist im Besonderen für seine Chopin und Debussy Einspielungen bekannt. Vor allem seine Aufnahme der 24 Preludes von Chopin stößt auf Begeisterung bei Klassik Liebhabern. Außerdem verfügt er über ein reichhaltiges Repertoire, beschäftigt sich jedoch besonders gern mit den bekannten Komponisten des neunzehnten und zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts, sowie zahlreiche zeitgenössische Komponisten wie Messiaen, Dusapin, Murail. Chia‐Lun ist Preisträger verschiedener internationaler Wettbewerbe. 1996 und 1997 gewann er den 2. Preis der Zhu Qian Cup Music  ompetition, zwei Jahre später den 3. Preis der Kawai International Piano Competition. 2005 den 2. Preis der Young Musicians International Competition Citta di Barletta, Taiwan Audition. Bevor er dann sein Diplom Studium an der Universität der Künste Berlin begann, gewann er 2006 den 1. Preis des wichtigsten Wettbewerbes in Taiwan, der Hsing Tien Kong Music Competition. Konzerte führten ihn durch viele Länder Europas und Asiens. 2015 beendete er sein Diplomstudium an der UdK Berlin mit Prof. Pascal Devoyon und Rikako Murata. Seit Oktober 2015 studiert er im Master of Music an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München bei Prof. Adrian Oetiker.   Born in Taiwan in 1991, Taiwanese pianist Chia-Lun HSU has been described as “the most talented young Pianist in Taiwan“. Chia-Lun’s piano playing is widely appreciated for the absolute purity of his interpretations. He is regarded as an amazing artist, possessed of a natural beautiful, and flawless technique that gave his concerts a unique truly quality. He has a wide and varied discography, and particularly noted for his interpretations of Chopin. He also made great and successful recordings of Schumann, Liszt, and Debussy. His recording of Chopin’s 24 Preludés has been a favorite of many classical music-lovers. Chia-Lun won the 2nd Prize at the Zhu Qian Cup Music Competition in 1996 and 1997, when he was 5 years old. Two years later, he won the 3th prize at the Kawai International Piano Competition. In 2005, he won the 2nd prize at the Young Musicians International Competition Citta di Barletta in Taiwan Audition. Before he entered the Berlin Universityof the Artsin Germany, he won the 1st Prize at one of the most important Competition in Taiwan in 2006, Hsing Tien Kong Music Competition. Chia-Lun has toured as pianist throughout the Europe and Asia. He’s been officially enrolled at Universität der Künste Berlin (The Berlin University of the Arts) in 2010, and studied with Prof. Pascal Devoyon and Rikako Murata.
